General Manager

Staats Awards is an awards manufacturing and promotional products company that serves customers nationally and locally for over a century and is known for its deep commitment to the industries it serves. This is a unique opportunity to guide a well-established company with deep local roots while shaping the next chapter of growth, performance, and community impact. This general manager role reports directly to the Board of Directors and is responsible for driving strategic growth, operational performance, and financial sustainability across the organization.

Key Responsibilities Operational Oversight:

Managing day-to-day business activities, improving productivity, and ensuring efficiency across departments.

Financial Management:

Developing budgets, controlling costs, and analyzing profit/loss reports to meet financial goals.

Leadership & Staffing:

Hiring, training, mentoring, and supervising approximately 25 employees, as well as setting performance goals.

Strategic Planning:

Creating and implementing strategies to achieve company goals and drive growth. Continuing product development.

Customer & Stakeholder Relations:

Ensuring high customer satisfaction and maintaining relationships with key clients and suppliers.

Compliance:

Ensuring adherence to legal regulations and company policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications Leadership:

Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage diverse teams.

Communication:

Effective interpersonal skills for both internal and external stakeholders.

Analytical Thinking:

Problem-solving skills to address operational issues.

Financial Acumen:

Knowledge of budgeting, P&L, and cost management.

Education:

A college degree or experience in business administration, or a related field is preferred. Experience Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role. Demonstrated experience in planning, budgeting, and performance management.
