General Manager (GM)

Stories Cannabis is a family owned adult-use cannabis retail dispensary opening in Attleboro, MA. Our mission is to provide safe, clean and pure cannabis products that improve the health and wellness of the communities we serve. We aim to give our customers an exceptional shopping experience with a focus on offering advice and education on our variety of products. We are seeking to hire a dynamic General Manager with cannabis dispensary experience to lead our dispensary team and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a deep understanding of compliance and inventory management in the cannabis industry. • Manage all retail employees.
• Manage hiring, training, and firing employees.
• Keep retail employees current on all training.
• Handle all customer queries or complaints.
• Keep current the retail standard operating procedures.
• Maintain the Company's mission for guest experience and hospitality.
• Control and confirm compliance and security of all cannabis inventory.
• Keep current all compliance with Metrc and the Cannabis Control Commission (CCC).
• Handle compliance violations.
• Maintain the company's diversity policy.
• Write and manage the employee schedule including making updates in real time in fluctuations
• Provide bi-annual performance reviews for every employee.
• Assist with the purchase and receipt of cannabis and cannabis products.
• Manage the point-of-sale software and equipment.
• Manage the handling, storage, and deposit of cash.
• Manage the communications on the retail premises.
• Book cannabis vendor pop-ups
• Provide reports to Uma's Leadership Team.
• Provide reports to the company bookkeeper.
• Develop and execute goals to benefit the Company and employees.

Experience Required:

Bachelor's Degree or work equivalent; 1-2 years Management experience

Preferred:

Bachelor's Degree or work equivalent; 1-2 years Management in a cannabis dispensary Qualifications

• Cannabis Dispensary Experience including knowledge of CCC guidelines and requirements
• High school diploma and retail management work history
• 1-2 years of management experience preferably in retail or hospitality
• Experience in managing a staff of 15+ people
• Problem-solving and crisis management skills
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Competent in Microsoft applications and online scheduling tools
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

• Team-oriented

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

50 hours weekly, needs to be flexible to work weekdays and weekends
