Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager - Restaurant to lead our National Brand dining establishment. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, operational excellence, and team engagement. Your leadership will drive the restaurant's success by managing staff, maintaining food quality standards, controlling costs, and fostering a welcoming environment that keeps guests coming back. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. Duties Lead daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management to ensure smooth and efficient functioning. Supervise and train staff on food handling, safety protocols, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and customer service standards. Oversee inventory control and food management processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels while maintaining high-quality offerings. Manage shift schedules, monitor performance, and provide coaching to foster a motivated and professional team. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and sanitation practices across the kitchen and dining areas. Handle cash transactions accurately, perform cash handling duties, and oversee financial reporting related to sales and expenses. Implement staff training programs focused on culinary techniques, food production, hospitality management, and customer engagement to elevate service quality. Maintain excellent customer relations by addressing feedback promptly and creating a welcoming atmosphere that promotes guest satisfaction. Collaborate with vendors for catering or banquet services when applicable, ensuring seamless execution of special events. Support budgeting efforts by monitoring costs related to food production, labor, and supplies to meet financial targets. Qualifications Proven management experience within the food industry or quick service & fast food restaurant environments. Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management with a focus on food safety standards. Extensive experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; proficiency in cash handling is essential. Demonstrated supervisory skills with experience in staff training & development, interviewing, and team management. Knowledge of inventory control practices along with budgeting expertise to optimize operational efficiency. Previous hospitality management experience in casual dining or fine dining settings; banquet or catering experience is a plus. Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of customer service. Familiarity with hotel or bar operations as well as coffee or barista experience is advantageous. Strong communication skills paired with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences across diverse culinary settings.
