Job Title:
General Production Worker Job Description This role focuses on assembling products, packaging finished goods, and supporting production operations in a clean, safety-focused manufacturing environment. You will use hand and power tools, follow written instructions, perform quality checks, and help maintain an organized workspace while working collaboratively with a team to meet production goals. Responsibilities Assemble components using hand tools, power tools, and written instructions to produce finished products according to specifications. Prepare finished products for shipment by wrapping, labeling, and palletizing items in an accurate and efficient manner. Inspect parts and finished products for defects and verify that all items meet established quality standards. Handle materials safely by moving parts and products throughout the facility using carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts if certified. Maintain workstations by keeping tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards. Follow all company safety rules, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and OSHA guidelines at all times. Support production flow by assisting with general production tasks such as packing, staging, and organizing materials. Communicate with team members and supervisors to report issues, suggest improvements, and ensure smooth operations. Essential Skills Experience in general production, assembly, or packaging environments. Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively for assembly tasks. Basic mechanical aptitude to follow assembly instructions and understand how components fit together. Capability to perform inspection tasks and identify defects in parts and finished products. Physical stamina with the ability to lift 30-50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in assembly, packaging, and labeling. Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment. Reliability with consistent attendance and punctuality. Commitment to following safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with packaging operations, including wrapping, labeling, and palletizing. Background in general production, packing, or inspection work. Forklift certification or prior experience operating material handling equipment is a plus. Comfort using power tools in a manufacturing or assembly setting. Willingness to participate in on-the-job training to develop additional industrial and safety skills. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Andrews, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
