Job Overview:
About us Specializing in MultiFamily, HS Contractors Inc is a full-service construction management and general contracting company, strategically established to further a business integrated construction model. We Provide exclusive and comprehensive pre-construction, design management, general contracting and construction management services to multiple Businesses, Contractors, Engineers, Architects and Developers. The strategic partnership between HS Contractors Inc and its Sub-contractors, Vendors and exclusive partnerships allow the team to maximize value and add opportunities at every stage of the projects delivery process. Responsibilities Oversee all day-to-day operations and on-site personnel on our projects, ensuring a safe workplace for all site personnel and meeting project timelines and budgets Effectively project manage on-site work, sequencing complex schedules and ensuring any risks or issues are quickly mitigated and addressed. Clearly communicate project progress with Management, The home office, development team members or other client partners. Maintain timeline and workflow, developing well-structured and realistic work plans and clear breakdowns of tasks for all involved. Successfully manage time of team and yourself. Use judgement and expertise to identify necessary adjustments to project scope, approach or deliverables based on changing requirements, communicating these adjustments and understanding the magnitude of change in relation to project scope, budget and schedule. Maintains a robust understanding of safety requirements for all aspects of the site, including pre-planning, monitoring of construction activities and site conditions, and taking corrective actions to non-compliant work. Seek out knowledge of specific construction trades and an awareness of their technical capabilities. Demonstrates advanced knowledge and experience in a specialized field and leverages such knowledge to plan, track progress and deliver project milestones. Has a solid understanding of the skills expertise of the broader team and harnesses the relevant professionals to maximize success. Quickly communicate any concerns relating to compliance or safety implications for the team or project. Have a strong understanding of the skillsets and expertise of the broader HS Contractors Inc Group team to utilize teammates and maximize project's success. Use knowledge and expertise of project related interdependencies to maintain and provide accurate and detailed project records and reports to relevant stakeholders. Assist the Superintendent in overseeing construction projects from start to finish- Collaborate with project team members to ensure timely and successful project completion. Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to schedule and budget
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality and address any issues or concerns
- Assist in preparing and reviewing project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports
- Assist in managing project resources, including materials, equipment, and labor
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as an Assistant or main Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, BlueBeam, Microsoft Projects, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and construction schematics
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project team members, subcontractors, and clients
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
