B&N is looking for an entry level Geologist to join our team in Columbus, OH. This position will work on a variety of interesting projects and offers growth for professional and personal development split between office and in the field.
B&N Entry Level Geologist Responsibilities:
Working with a team of professionals, collect and evaluate environmental data and install sample collection points Develop your skills performing on-site field sampling of soil, groundwater, sediment and surface water to assess projects sites Under the direction of experienced staff, perform data reduction, evaluation and minor report writing for projects related to brownfield redevelopment and restoration
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts/Science in Hydrogeology, Geology or other related Earth or Soil science 0-2 years of experience, prior experience in preparing, reviewing and interpreting geologic data is advantageous Strong foundation in Microsoft Suite, especially Microsoft Excel A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history is a must Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and traverse uneven terrain Ability to travel up to 50% of time, including overnight stays Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills Travel arrangements to and from work assignments including airfare, hotel, and meals are reimbursed.
