In this energetic role, you will assist skilled glaziers in installing, repairing, and fabricating glass and related materials across a variety of projects. Whether working on commercial buildings, residential remodels, or custom fixtures, your contribution will help bring visions to life with clarity and style. This paid position offers hands-on experience in the construction industry, fostering growth and skill development every step of the way. Responsibilities Support glaziers in measuring, cutting, and fitting glass panels according to project specifications Assist with the handling, lifting, and installation of glass and heavy materials safely and efficiently Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment to ensure smooth operations Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and secure glass components accurately Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements Aid in fabrication tasks such as trimming, caulking, framing, and assembly of glass fixtures or cabinetry Help with remodeling projects by performing tasks like door hanging, trim carpentry, or metal stud framing as needed Requirements Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades such as carpentry or handyman roles Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus but not required Ability to read blueprints and schematics confidently to follow detailed instructions Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in glass installation Physical strength for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during installation tasks Knowledge of safety protocols including proper use of scaffolding, ladders, and personal protective equipment Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in construction and glazing while contributing to high-quality projects.
