  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated GM Master Technician to lead our automotive service team in delivering exceptional vehicle repair and maintenance services.
As a GM Master Technician, you will leverage your extensive technical expertise to diagnose complex issues, perform advanced repairs, and ensure every vehicle meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, foster a customer-focused environment, and uphold the dealership's reputation for superior service. Duties Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems on GM vehicles, including powertrain, transmission, suspension, brakes, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Utilize schematics, diagnostic tools, and automotive diagnostics software to identify issues accurately and efficiently. Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and system calibrations with precision. Conduct advanced repairs involving diesel engines, power tools, and specialized automotive service techniques. Lead troubleshooting efforts for automotive electrical systems, including sensors, wiring harnesses, and control modules. Mentor and guide junior technicians to improve their technical skills while maintaining high standards of quality. Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and dealership policies. Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs needed and completed work. Experience Proven dealership experience as an automotive technician or mechanic with a strong background in GM vehicles. Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, diagnostics, and repair procedures. Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, wheel alignments, transmissions, diesel engine repair, and powertrain components. Demonstrated ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and automotive service software effectively. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent customer service skills. Service technician experience that includes auto estimating or working within dealership workflows is preferred. Certifications such as ASE Master Technician or equivalent are highly desirable; GM-specific certifications are a plus.
