Job Description
Country Carts is currently seeking an experienced Golf Cart Technician . Applicants must have prior experience working on golf carts and must be comfortable diagnosing electrical issues on electric golf carts. About Country Carts Country Carts is a growing golf cart dealership based in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. We sell, service, repair, customize, pick up, and deliver golf carts for customers throughout the Gulf Coast. We take pride in quality work, clear communication, customer service, and building a strong team. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced technician who can help support and lead our service department. Position Summary The Golf Cart Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and preparing golf carts, while also helping keep the service department organized and productive. This is a hands-on leadership role. The ideal candidate is an experienced golf cart technician who takes ownership of their work, communicates well, helps keep jobs moving, and understands the importance of efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. This person should be comfortable working independently, assisting other team members when needed, and helping create a more organized and profitable service operation. Key Responsibilities Service & Diagnostics Inspect, diagnose, and repair electric and gas-powered golf carts Diagnose electrical issues including batteries, chargers, controllers, solenoids, wiring, motors, lights, accessories, and related systems Perform routine maintenance such as battery testing, tire repairs, brake adjustments, suspension work, oil changes, and general service Install aftermarket accessories including lights, speakers, soundbars, mirrors, windshields, wheels, rear seats, storage boxes, and other upgrades Use diagnostic tools, meters, manuals, and repair equipment to troubleshoot issues accurately Complete repairs and installations efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship Prepare carts for customer delivery and sale Perform final checks to ensure carts are safe, clean, and functioning properly Help organize the daily workflow of the service department Assist with prioritizing repair jobs, customer deliveries, warranty work, and internal shop needs Help make sure service jobs continue moving forward and are not delayed unnecessarily Communicate parts needs, repair updates, and potential issues to management Help maintain accurate service records, repair notes, and parts usage Support other technicians and team members when appropriate Assist with quality control before carts are returned to customers Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Contribute to improving service processes, efficiency, and customer satisfaction Performance Expectations This position is intended for someone who understands that a successful service department requires both quality workmanship and productivity .
