Golf Professional

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Golf Professional to lead our golf operations and enhance the overall member and guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for golf, and a background in coaching, teaching, and sports management. This role involves overseeing daily golf activities, providing instruction, managing staff, and fostering a welcoming environment for players of all skill levels. Candidates with diverse sports coaching experience, golf instruction, and be able to facilitate leagues. Responsibilities Lead and manage the golf shop operations, including scheduling lessons and tournaments Provide professional golf instruction to members and guests of all ages and skill levels Develop and implement training programs to improve player performance Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations Coordinate youth programs or clinics that may incorporate skills from related activities such as swimming, martial arts, or cheerleading Maintain high standards of customer service to ensure a positive experience for all visitors Organize special events, tournaments, and community outreach initiatives Enforce safety protocols on the course and in related facilities Collaborate with club management to develop marketing strategies for golf programs Qualifications Proven experience in golf instruction or management; PGA certification is preferred Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and engage members Background in sports coaching or physical education teaching; experience working with students is highly valued Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster a positive learning environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to organize events and manage multiple priorities effectively Passion for promoting health, fitness, and recreational activities within a community setting
