Duties Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges Assist with product merchandising, stocking shelves, and organizing displays to maximize sales potential Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase items and promote upselling opportunities Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, fitting rooms, and checkout area Handle cash, process payments, and perform cash handling duties with accuracy and integrity Support supervisory tasks such as supervising team members during shifts, training new staff, or managing store operations when needed Promote donations from the community by using all resources available. Promote Goodwill within the community to enhance its public image and to obtain support for the furtherance of our mission through the management of a retail store. Demonstrate commitment to the highest standards possible in relationships with internal and external associates. Requirements Operate cash register according to Goodwill of South Central Ohio policies and procedures. Provide excellent customer service; greet each customer as they come into the store and practice the 3-foot rule. Ensure the proper handling of all monies by adherence to GWSCO's policies and procedures. Assist in the collection of donations coming into the store. Ensure all customers get a receipt if desired. Clock In/Out daily for scheduled shifts in Paycom using your unique login information. Share in housekeeping duties and maintain store appearance. Assist in the production, tracking and stocking of hardlines and soft lines at the direction of management. When assigned to hardlines, team members are expected to process a minimum of 105 pieces per hour efficiently and accurately. When working on soft lines, team members must be able to sort, tag, and hang a minimum of 100 pieces per hour while maintaining quality and adherence to company standards. Qualifications:
Pleasant personality and neat appearance. Will be subject to the company's random drug testing procedures. Must pass a Goodwill-approved criminal background check and not appear on any government registries that track abusers or other such offenses.Education and or Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred Prior retail or related experience preferredPhysical Requirements:
