Grading/Backfiller

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to perform excavation, grading and backfilling tasks on various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team to ensure project success. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as graders, backhoes, and loaders to perform grading and backfilling tasks. Ensure proper building of slopes and drainage systems to prevent erosion. Dig trenches and prepare sites for construction activities. Maintain equipment in good working condition by performing routine inspections and minor repairs. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Experience Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with graders, backhoes, loaders, and Caterpillar machinery. Must have at least 2 years recent experience in Heavy Equipment, not including skids, tractors or forklifts. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is preferred. Previous experience in excavation, grading, backfilling, or related construction tasks is highly desirable. Ability to interpret blueprints and site plans effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
