Grain Scale Operator/Customer Service Associate

Starting pay range listed, DOE. The Scale Operator/Customer Service position involves a range of scale operations, customer service, communications, and clerical tasks. This position involves high volume of contact with customers and requires patience and a positive attitude that promotes team work within the cooperative and creates a favorable image of the cooperative. The Scale Operator is responsible for operating the weigh scales, scale computer and software programs, data entry, and record keeping. Work in this position requires the ability to multi-task and fill in where required while functioning under minimal supervision. Operating the grain elevator scale which includes weighing and grading inbound and outbound grain to issue scale tickets Assures that outbound grain samples from each load meet or exceed contract specifications Uses proper grading procedures to determine complete grade of each sample of grain Directs each load of grain to appropriate unload area Providing a high level of customer service by being courteous, helpful and knowledgement as well as engaging with team members Administrative work included running daily reports, balancing statements, and coordinating cross-checks of scale equipment Assures that scales and grain testing equipment are tested regularly and meet industry standards Able to understand complex processes and handle multi-tasking Maintain work area and equipment in a safe and clean condition at all times May be required to help with other elevator operations duties, grounds maintenance, and other bookkeeping duties such as entering grain contracts when necessary

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years of age or older Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check No experience necessary - will be provided training
