Grill Cook

Duties Prepare and cook grilled items such as steaks, burgers, seafood, and vegetables according to established recipes and specifications. Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presentation standards while maintaining food safety practices. Assist with menu planning by suggesting new grill dishes or modifications based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures. Support the kitchen team during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders. Use knife skills effectively for food preparation tasks like slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients. Follow all health regulations and safety guidelines to create a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Experience Previous experience working as a grill cook or in a similar culinary role within the food industry is highly preferred. Experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with special dietary needs. Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and fine dining standards enhances your suitability for this position. Hands-on experience with food handling, cooking methods, and kitchen operations is essential. Background in restaurant or catering environments will help you adapt quickly to our fast-paced setting. Strong knife skills combined with experience in meal preparation and food safety practices are important assets.
