Job Overview:

As a Grill Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and executing Pure Eats menu items with speed, consistency, and quality. This role requires strong kitchen fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently during busy service periods. You'll be preparing items across breakfast, build-your-own bowls, wraps, salads, platters, and light café offerings , while supporting a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen.

Responsibilities:

Food Preparation & Execution Prepare and execute menu items including: Breakfast plates, eggs, sandwiches, wraps, and bowls Build-your-own bowls (rice, quinoa, salad bases, proteins, toppings, dressings) Wraps, sandwiches, salads, and lifestyle bowls (keto, paleo, vegan, protein) Grilled proteins including chicken, steak, vegetables, and roasted chicken Follow Pure Eats recipes, portion standards, and plating guidelines Ensure food quality, freshness, and presentation meet Pure Eats standards Kitchen Operations Maintain proper food temperatures, storage, and FIFO procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties Keep prep and cook stations clean, stocked, and organized Communicate clearly with Cafe team to ensure smooth order flow Quality, Safety & Cleanliness Ensure all food meets quality, consistency, and presentation standards Follow all NYC Department of Health food safety and sanitation guidelines Maintain a clean kitchen, equipment, and work area at all times Notify Café Manager of inventory shortages, waste, or quality concerns Assist with prep planning to support peak café hours Team Collaboration Work collaboratively with café staff and management to ensure smooth service flow Communicate clearly and professionally during busy service periods Support new menu rollouts and seasonal offerings
