The Role As a Level 4 Technician at Smart Haven Lifestyle, you are the finisher. The closer. The one we trust to take a project from functional to flawless. This role is specifically for experienced luxury residential integration professionals with advanced Savant and Lutron programming experience. Candidates without hands-on programming and commissioning experience in these platforms will not be considered. You will lead final system deployment, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and client handoff across high-end residential projects throughout the Tri-State area. You will work closely with project managers, designers, electricians, and field technicians while mentoring Levels 1-3 technicians on execution, quality, and standards. You are expected to white-glove the final product: clean racks, organized wiring, accurate labeling, verified programming, polished walkthroughs, and confident client training. Responsibilities Perform and oversee all aspects of installation, configuration, programming, and commissioning Program and troubleshoot advanced systems using: Savant Lutron QS/QSX Lutron RA2/RA3 Control4 Lead final phases of projects including: Punch list completion System debugging Client walkthroughs Client training and final handoff Configure and troubleshoot: AV systems Lighting control systems Networking/Wi-Fi infrastructure HVAC integration Surveillance systems Automated shading systems Build, dress, and verify racks to company standards Calibrate displays, speakers, DSPs, and control interfaces Coordinate with PMs, designers, electricians, millworkers, and other trades Mentor and lead Levels 1-3 technicians on jobsite execution and professionalism Maintain accurate system documentation, programming notes, and configuration records Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues in the field Use power tools safely and confidently, including drills and multi-tools What You Bring 5+ years of luxury residential smart home integration experience Advanced hands-on experience programming and commissioning Savant and Lutron systems Strong understanding of: AV distribution Lighting control Networking HVAC integration Surveillance Shade integration Proven experience leading final project delivery and client-facing walkthroughs Strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills Ability to stay calm under pressure and problem-solve independently Clean and organized workmanship with strong attention to detail Valid driver's license with clean driving record
