Must have clear Background and pass a Drug Test! We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Grinder with welding experience to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for precision grinding operations, ensuring that metal components meet strict specifications and quality standards. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity of our products through meticulous finishing processes. Duties Operate and maintain various grinding equipment, including surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, and tool grinders, to achieve precise dimensions. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine appropriate grinding procedures. Conduct quality inspections on finished parts using micrometers and other precision tools to ensure compliance with tolerances. Fabricate components by hand using hand tools or mechanical tools; assemble parts according to specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to machining and fabrication equipment. Collaborate with team members on tooling setup, calibration, and troubleshooting to optimize production flow. Must have welding experience. Experience Proven experience operating grinding machinery such as surface grinders or cylindrical grinders in a manufacturing setting. Knowledge of welding processes and sheet metal fabrication is advantageous. Experience with tooling setup, calibration of measurement instruments like calipers and micrometers. Basic math skills necessary for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately. Ability to work with hand tools, fabrication equipment, and machinery such as press brakes or stamping presses.
