Grocery Store Cashier

We are looking for a reliable, friendly Cashier to join our team at Price Chopper. We are currently hiring for one full-time position and several part-time roles. In this role, you'll provide a smooth and engaging checkout experience while supporting sales and helping create a positive, guest-focused environment. Key Responsibilities & Job Duties Provide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times Accurately scan and process guest purchases while maintaining speed and accuracy Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments following proper procedures Stay informed on promotions, pricing, and store initiatives to support sales and enhance the guest experience Engage with guests to answer questions, make suggestions, and help connect them with products that meet their needs Communicate clearly with teammates and leadership to support smooth front-end operations Maintain a clean, organized, and safe checkout and front-end area Stock, face, and assist with product placement as needed Operate POS systems, scanners, and related equipment accurately Monitor inventory levels near checkout areas and report issues Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards Assist with bagging, restocking, cleaning, and supporting other departments as needed Remain productive during slower periods by supporting store presentation and identifying opportunities to improve the guest experience Other job duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications Required:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience

Required:

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred:

Experience in grocery, retail, or food service environments
