Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic opportunity supporting students as a school-based Occupational Therapist, covering a maternity leave near the scenic Harpers Ferry, WV area. This contract position runs full-time from mid-August through the beginning of October, offering a meaningful way to support young learners during a pivotal time. Your expertise in gross motor skills, school-based OT strategies, COTA collaboration, and effective teletherapy will ensure students continue receiving high-quality interventions throughout the leave coverage. This is a great chance to utilize your skills in diverse settings, from traditional school environments to home health and virtual therapy. What you'll bring: Active Occupational Therapy license Experience in school-based OT and home health therapy Familiarity with OT teletherapy platforms and best practices Strong knowledge of gross motor skills development Previous experience or ability to collaborate with COTAs Excellent communication and organizational skills Reliability and adaptability to seamlessly transition into existing caseloads Day-to-day responsibilities: Deliver direct OT services to students, both onsite and virtually as needed Evaluate and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support student goals Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and COTAs for a cohesive therapy approach Track and document student progress, completing required reports and paperwork promptly Participate in team meetings, conveying student needs and progress effectively Support learning and independence for students with a range of abilities If you're eager to make an immediate impact while gaining valuable school-based experience, this maternity leave coverage is the perfect contract role for you.
