Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' growth and development in a vibrant educational environment near Bunker Hill, WV. This full-time position is designed to provide crucial maternity leave coverage from mid-August through the beginning of October. Be a key resource for students and staff as you use your Occupational Therapy expertise to foster success both academically and in day-to-day life.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience in school-based OT, home health OT, and teletherapy platforms Proficiency in developing programs to support gross motor skills Previous experience working with students in educational settings preferred Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group OT services to students across various grade levels Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to design and implement strategies that enhance gross motor and functional abilities Utilize a blend of on-campus, home health, and teletherapy interventions to maximize student access to services Conduct assessments, document progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed for optimal outcomes Support transition plans and ensure consistent services throughout the maternity leave coverage period Enjoy the opportunity to work full-time during a defined contract window, providing continuity of care and positive impact in a supportive school setting.
