Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Grounds Associate works as a member of the Facilities and Grounds team and is a key player in our environmental stewardship strategies. The role is responsible for performing diversified maintenance and improvements year-round on Kripalu's grounds, roadways, parking lots, gardens, nature trails, and lakefront property. The ideal candidate must be a reliable and committed team player, who also works well independently. Snow plowing experience is essential in this role, as well as the ability to use all necessary landscape tools and equipment properly and safely. A candidate with experience in gardening and farming, who takes pride in their work is desirable.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs all aspects of grounds and landscape maintenance including but not limited to lawn mowing, snow plowing, upkeep of gardens, shrubbery, trees, hedges, and wildlife management. Maintains gardens, trimming, and weeding, edging, pruning. etc. Plows and is responsible for snow removal in winter months using plow trucks, snow blowers and shovels. Performs all duties while safely operating grounds keeping equipment such as mowers, tractors, handheld trimmers, saws, in accordance with prescribed job requirements & safety guidelines. Performs other maintenance duties assigned.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or the equivalent. 1-2 years of related experience in grounds maintenance Must have valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
