Job Summary The Groundsman supports the foreman and arborists by preparing equipment, managing debris on the ground, and maintaining a hazard-free work zone. This is a physically demanding outdoor role that requires reliability and a willingness to learn the trade.

Responsibilities Site Support:

Assist tree climbers by supplying tools, equipment, and rigging materials.

Cleanup & Disposal:

Collect, drag, and pile branches; operate wood chippers and blowers to clear debris from work sites.

Equipment Maintenance:

Safely operate and perform basic maintenance on tools such as chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders.

Safety Coordination:

Set up safety cones, warning signs, and manage "drop zones" to protect the crew and public.

Manual Labor:

Load and unload heavy logs (up to 80 lbs) and equipment from trucks and trailers.

Qualifications Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy items for extended periods in varying weather conditions (rain, heat, or cold).

Reliability:

Reliable transportation, and a history of showing up on time.

Safety Conscious:

Commitment to following strict safety protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Communication:

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and represent the company professionally to customers.

Drug-Free:
