Full Job Description Summary:
The Group Facilitator is responsible for facilitating and documenting group therapy. Participates in de-escalation or crisis intervention when necessary. Communicates pertinent information and collaborates with the primary treatment team as needed.
Responsibilities:
To facilitate mental health and substance abuse treatment groups and to properly document progress notes on all groups and log the information in the EMR system. Implement evidenced based modalities to assist clients in their recovery Facilitate psychoeducational groups and prepare group topics. Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution, preferred.
Valid state licensure:
CADC Minimum of 2 years of experience providing counselling in a substance abuse treatment setting. Experience with co-occurring disorders preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in using KIPU. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Commitment to ethical practices and continuous improvement in clinical skills.
