Job Summary:

Under the direction of the administrator, the teacher would be working with preschool students to achieve excellence.

Qualifications:

Required:

Minimum of BS/BA degree in Education Possess or be eligible for a valid Michigan teaching certificate as an elementary teacher with endorsements of Early Childhood Education (ZN or ZO) Able to assess and document student progress Professional in personal conduct and actions Excellent communication skills Meets federal Every Child Succeeds requirements

Desired Characteristics:

Experience in working with elementary students. Experience using technology as an instructional tool in the classroom Experience in working within a Professional Learning Community Experience in collaborating in writing common exams Knowledge of Google Suite and other internet based applications

Duties:

Provide instruction to early childhood students Provide and maintain an orderly classroom environment Monitor and document student progress through Synergy student management program Work independently and cooperatively using a variety of instructional strategies Ability to plan and organize; excellent work habits Willing to attend conferences and participate in professional development Successful teaching/coaching of students preferred Perform other duties as assigned by administration Follow Michigan State Licensing Rules
