Key responsibilities include processing payments, providing information on local attractions, coordinating with housekeeping, and maintaining a welcoming, secure, and organized front desk area.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Check-in/Check-out:
Greeting guests warmly, verifying reservations, registering guests, and assigning rooms, as well as handling check-out, bill settling, and key collection.Guest Communication:
Answering phone calls, managing email inquiries, taking messages, and addressing questions about hotel facilities.Reservation Management:
Assisting with booking, modifying, or cancelling reservations using property management software.Concierge Services:
Providing information on local attractions, booking transport, and arranging reservations for restaurants or excursions.Issue Resolution:
Handling guest complaints or service requests promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.Administrative Tasks:
Handling cash transactions, balancing accounts at the end of a shift, and maintaining accurate guest records and room status data.Safety and Security:
Following safety protocols, including issuing new keys, assisting in emergencies, and protecting guest privacy.Collaboration:
Coordinating with housekeeping for room status and maintenance for repairs to ensure guest rooms are ready. Penn Foster +10Key Skills Required:

Strong interpersonal skills to handle diverse guests with patience and professionalism.Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Technical Proficiency:
Ability to operate hotel software (PMS), switchboards, and credit card machines.Problem-Solving:
Ability to resolve conflicts calmly in a high-paced environment.Multitasking:
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A high school diploma is usually required, while experience in customer service or hospitality is strongly preferred. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.Benefits:
