Job Description

Gymnastics Coach -
Sartell Sapphires Gymnastics Hours:
4-30 hours/week (variable per season) Pay negotiable based on experience. Job Summary Sartell Sapphire Gymnastics is looking for an energetic, organized, and communicative person to join our organization. This individual will partner with our experienced staff to help coach all teams from junior-level to competition-level, assist the Head Coach with a variety of organizational tasks, and provide excellent customer service and communication as needed. This individual must be 20+ years of age or older.
Job Responsibilities:
Available to co-coach all teams from junior-level to competition-level Affectively execute training and lesson plans for practices Attend meets with competition teams, some out of town Provide excellent customer service and communication to families, coaches, school district and board members as needed Provide feedback about the program to Head Coach to better the organization Attend tryouts when needed Attend mandatory MAGA meetings and other staff/team meetings as required (monthly coaches meeting) Assist in set up/take down of equipment for practices and meets paying special attention to safety and cleanliness Assist with awards and presentation at end of year Sapphire banquet. Assist with the Showcase Saturday event in mid-end of
April Qualifications:
Working knowledge and/or experience in at least one of the following areas: Gymnastics, Tumbling, Cheerleading, Dance Willingness to learn additional areas of gymnastics Demonstrated ability to teach the development of skills and proper technique Passion for working with children of all ages and abilities Ability to lift heavy equipment Ability to lift and spot girls ages 3-14, up to 120 pounds Exercises mature judgment and sound decision-making Requires current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment About Sartell Sapphires Based in Sartell, Minnesota, the Sartell Sapphire program began in the summer of 2000 and is a non-profit organization that is part of the Midwest Amateur Gymnastics Association (MAGA). Currently the program has over seventy gymnasts. In addition to preparing young gymnasts for high school gymnastics, Sartell Sapphires also empowers girls to learn life skills through physical wellness, self-discipline, and teamwork in a positive environment.
