Hair Stylist

Job Summary We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in hair styling techniques and demonstrate a commitment to providing welcomeing customer service. This role involves not only creating beautiful hairstyles but also engaging with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring they leave our salon feeling confident and satisfied. Duties Provide a range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments while adhering to the latest trends and techniques. Apply knowledge of color theory to achieve desired results for clients. Perform nail care services as needed, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are met. Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and managing client inquiries. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Offer hair extensions services, demonstrating expertise in application techniques. Mentor junior stylists or apprentices by sharing knowledge and best practices in hair styling. Engage in retail sales by recommending products that complement the services provided. Utilize straight razor techniques for precision cuts when required. Provide hair threading services as an additional offering to clients. Qualifications Valid cosmetology license or certification from an accredited institution. Proven experience as a Hair Stylist with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work. Knowledge of current hair trends, techniques, and products. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards clients. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and sanitation. Experience in retail sales is preferred but not mandatory. Skills in mentoring others will be considered an asset.
