Handyman

Queens Centers for Progress, a human services agency, providing person-centered services for children and adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities is seeking a Handyman/Mechanic.

Summary:

Under the close supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Handyman/Mechanic performs all daily inspections, preventive maintenance work and assists with general cleaning as needed.

Duties:

Repairs and installs mechanical electrical plumbing Performs all daily inspections and preventive maintenance work Assists with general cleaning as needed Assists with garbage removal and handling Removes all snow when necessary Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High School/GED Diploma and 3 years of experience in general building maintenance work required. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC required.
