At Hangry Bear Creamery, we create unique & premium ice cream flavors on site, custom ice cream flavors for shipment or wholesale, a delicious food menu of brunch and lunch items available all day and fun drink options and boozy shakes in partnership with Old Stone Cider. Hangry Bear Creamery offers an immersive foodie experience through our Ice Cream Studio. Groups can book a 2-hour session where friends, family or coworkers can make their own ice cream flavors while enjoying snacks and drinks. Role Description Do you love ice cream? Are you passionate about the guest experience? Do you love making Hangry people happy? We are hiring a Full-time Manager on-site in Kennett Square, PA to oversee operations at Hangry Bear Creamery. This role involves leading the front of the house team and overseeing the kitchen staff in the absence of the Kitchen Manager. The Manager will be a keyholder for Hangry Bear Creamery and ensure our team provides the best service, highest quality food and ice cream in a clean and friendly environment. PTO available after 1 month of employment. Health benefits stipend available. Primary Responsibilities The Manager will oversee the FOH, making ice cream, leading ice cream studio sessions, leading a team of 15-20. Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge to promote position culture. Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to effectively problem solve and lead by positive example. Anticipate customer and store needs by thinking proactively. Communicate with customers, team members and management often to ensure seamless transitions and high-quality service. Oversee opening and/or closing shifts according to the operational standards including proper set up, break-down and clean up. Oversee cash register protocols, settling of registers and recording of sales records and deposits. Assist with interviewing and hiring of employees, training employees, scheduling and developing relationships and enacting proper motivation. Assist and oversee serving ice cream, bartending, barista, bussing, running food and cleaning. Assist and oversee taking orders online, in person or over the phone for custom ice cream and take-out food as well as gathering items for pick-up Assist and oversee ice cream production for store, wholesale and custom order sales. Assist with the opening/closing of kitchen and facilitate prep and cleaning schedules when needed. Assist and oversee ice cream studio sessions and hosting events in the studio Assist with event planning on site, through our ice cream truck or catering orders. Respond to customer requests in person, oversee the phone and via email. Manage and attend events on the ice cream truck or woth booth set up. Deliver ice cream when needed. Qualifications 3+ years of supervisory experience in a food establishment. Experience with food preparation or ice cream a plus Expertise in customer service and problem solving and ability to anticipate customer needs. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Public speaking or being comfortable talking in front of groups up to 20 people in the ice cream studio Ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve high levels of performance and efficiency Strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines. ServSafe required or must be obtained within 3 weeks of hiring. Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation Availability and flexibility to work during weekends and evenings is required A passion for food and a commitment to amazing food to hangry patrons
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
