Harvester and Farm Technician

We are seeking a full-time Mushroom Harvester and Farm Technician to join our Fort Valley Farm. Hedgehog Foods is a premium mushroom producer supplying high-quality specialty mushrooms to grocery stores and food distributors. This role will include harvesting mushrooms, keeping grow rooms clean, and supporting production as needed. This team member will work under the direction of our Production Manager and Operations Manager.

Additional details:

Typical working hours are 8am-5pm with a 30 minute lunch break. We are seeking applicants who are able to work Saturday and Sundays. All work will occur on-site at our farm in Fort Valley, GA. Applicants should be able to commute to the farm consistently on weekdays and weekends. Qualifications Physically capable, able to lift 50lb consistently Able to focus on a single task for extended periods of time Hard-working and excited about mushroom farming/agricultural operations Experience working with food safety protocols or holding food safety certifications is a plus Experience interacting with spreadsheets on a basic level is a plus Characteristics - do you describe yourself as: Interested and/or excited about working with specialty mushrooms Organized and detail-oriented Having a sense of urgency to get things done A proactive and effective communicator Excited by the idea of working for a fast-growing company
