Parkway Local Schools Parkway Local Schools is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and visionary leader to serve as our Head Boys Basketball Coach. As a proud member of the Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC) and a Division 6 program, Parkway is looking for a coach who can build on our tradition of competitive excellence and foster a culture of character and discipline.

Position Overview:

The Head Coach will provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of the Boys Basketball program (Grades 7â€"12). The successful candidate will be responsible for player development, strategic game management, and the creation of a seamless "feeder" system through our middle school and youth programs. We are looking for a mentor who prioritizes academic success and represents the Parkway community with pride, both on and off the court.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership:

Design and execute high-level practices, game-day strategies, and a comprehensive off-season and summer program.

Vertical Alignment:

Collaborate with and oversee middle school and youth programs to ensure a consistent defensive and offensive philosophy district-wide.

Student Growth:

Champion academic achievement and character development; ensuring student-athletes model integrity and sportsmanship.

Operational Management:

Manage program budgets, fundraising, and equipment inventory while maintaining full compliance with OHSAA and district policies.

Communication:

Maintain proactive, transparent, and professional communication with players, parents, staff, and the administration.

Qualifications:

Proven coaching experience at the high school level or higher (Head Coach experience preferred). Deep knowledge of basketball fundamentals, modern strategy, and athletic conditioning. Strong organizational skills and the ability to inspire and motivate young men. Must hold (or be able to obtain) all required Ohio Department of Education and OHSAA coaching certifications.
