Responsibilities Lead the planning and execution of diverse menus tailored to fine dining standards, incorporating dietary considerations and catering needs. Supervise all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Manage inventory control and procurement processes to optimize food costs while maintaining high-quality ingredients. Oversee food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and compliance with health regulations across all kitchen activities. Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including cooks, prep chefs, dishwashers, and catering personnel; foster a positive team environment through effective leadership. Coordinate shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and ensure smooth workflow during busy service periods. Oversee catering events, banquet functions, and special occasions with attention to detail in setup, presentation, and service delivery. Maintain open communication with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service flow and guest satisfaction. Implement continuous training programs focused on culinary skills, food handling safety, and hospitality best practices. Experience Proven experience in a leadership role within a professional kitchen environment—preferably in fine dining or upscale hospitality settings. Extensive background in food production, menu planning, and culinary arts with a focus on high-quality presentation. Demonstrated supervisory experience managing diverse kitchen teams with strong leadership skills. Familiarity with banquet operations, catering services, and large-scale event coordination. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, cost control measures, and food safety regulations (including HACCP standards). Experience in managing dietary accommodations and specialized menus for various dietary needs. Well-versed in restaurant management practices including shift management, food service operations, and customer service excellence.
