Director of Golf Operations/Head Golf Professional Official Position Duration :
Full-Time Salary will be commensurate with experience Overview of Facility Perched high atop the Blue Ridge Mountains in Roaring Gap, N.C, Olde Beau Resort and Golf Club is a semi-private resort community offering one of the South's premier golf experiences with its 18-hole golf facility and Par 3 course known as The Pup Course and its full-service amenities. The property was developed in 1992 by Billy Satterfield, who named the club and resort after his faithful bulldog. Mr. Satterfield's vision was to establish a premier, family-oriented destination in the heart of North Carolina's most beautiful, unspoiled mountains. Experience Required PGA of America Class "A" member in good standing preferred Graduation from High School and/or some college equivalent plus one (1) year experience working in the golf industry. Demonstrated experience providing upstanding member and guest service and staff training/development Ability to promote, prepare, and execute tournaments and programs to generate interest and maximize involvement, revenues, and facility usage Essential Responsibilities As a member of the Olde Beau Resort and Golf Club Professional Staff, the Head Golf Professional/Director of Golf will perform and assist in all aspects of the golf operation including day-to-day operations, tournaments, events, instruction, and merchandising. Creates a customer service-oriented atmosphere that promotes the game of oglf and meets the needs of the membership and guests Manage facility and staff. Understand complete operation of the golf shop and rest of downstairs area (Grill) Supervision and training of golf shop staff Manage tee time reservation through Jonas Software System and ensure proper utilization of Jonas so that day-to-day check-in standards are met Ensure proper accounting and reconciliation of the clubs point of sale (Jonas) system and member charges/disputes Ensure all Olde Beau Golf Club policies are observed by the public on golf course property Merchandising of Pro Shop to include: 1) Buying 2) Display 3) Pricing and inventory 4) Operation and support of grill when needed Responsible for preparing bank deposits and daily records; inputting of daily records and inventory into computer files Management and set-up of all golf tournaments In absence of other staff assume management responsibilities for golf shop and grill operations Benefits Playing and practice privileges along with access to all course amenities 100% of individual lesson income Healthcare insurance benefits
