Job Description
About the Role As a Head of Engineering Operations, you will spearhead technical strategy and maintenance excellence within a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will serve as a key leader, driving capital investment projects and optimizing mechanical systems to maximize plant output and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Direct and mentor multidisciplinary engineering and maintenance teams to foster a culture of technical excellence. Execute large-scale capital projects, including facility upgrades and complex machine rebuilds, from conception to completion. Implement data-driven process improvements and workflows to enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Oversee the reliability and lifecycle management of critical mechanical, electrical, and facility infrastructure. Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines to ensure fiscal and operational success. Collaborate with executive leadership to align engineering initiatives with long-term production and growth objectives. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure project compliance and high-quality deliverables. Utilize root cause analysis methodologies to resolve recurring technical bottlenecks and improve system uptime. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or mechanical engineering environments. 5+ years of proven leadership experience managing engineering or maintenance departments. Expertise in capital project management and facility operations. Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and system repair. Preferred Skills Advanced knowledge of 5 Why and other structured root cause analysis techniques. Strong background in process engineering and continuous improvement methodologies. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
