About Us voestalpine Precision Strip LLC is a leading U.S. manufacturer and distributor of high‑quality cold‑rolled precision strip steel , serving demanding industries with advanced steel solutions. We operate three key locations in the
United States:
Brunswick, Ohio; Elk Grove Village, Illinois; and Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin . Our Pleasant Prairie facility is the newest addition to our U.S. network and includes a production site specializing in the hardening and tempering of high‑quality strip steel , strengthening our capability to serve North American customers with precision and speed. As part of the global voestalpine Precision Strip Group, our U.S. operations are supported by world‑class manufacturing in the U.S., Austria, and Sweden, delivering innovative steel solutions and custom logistics for customers worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead financial strategy, drive operational excellence, and provide oversight for both the Finance and other functions at our Pleasant Prairie or Brunswick site. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Position Overview The Director of Finance is responsible for directing all financial activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting strategic planning, and partnering with operations to help drive efficient and profitable performance. This role also includes leadership oversight of HR , requiring strong people management and organizational development skills. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Management Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations. Maintain and enhance internal financial controls. Oversee timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end closing processes. 2. Strategic Planning Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that support company goals. Analyze economic trends and market conditions to identify growth opportunities. Support long‑term capital planning and financial modeling for future site and organizational development. 3. Cash Flow Management Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations. Develop strategies to optimize cash management and maximize financial efficiency. Improve working capital performance across receivables, payables, and inventory‑related processes. 4. Team Leadership (Including HR Oversight) Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team. Partner with HR to support organizational development, training, and compliance with employment regulations. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 5. Risk Management Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with internal standards, audits, and financial regulations. Oversee internal and external audit activities and drive timely resolution of findings. 6. Stakeholder Communication Communicate financial performance, strategy, and insights to executives, operational leaders, and the board of directors. Prepare clear, well‑structured financial presentations and reports for stakeholder meetings. Serve as a key advisor to leadership by providing actionable financial insights and recommendations. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred. 8+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments. Experience overseeing or partnering closely with Human Resources. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, cost accounting, and internal controls. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to collaborate effectively in a global, matrixed organization.
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
