Head of Logistics Siemens Energy - 3.9 Richland, MS Job Details Full-time 4 hours ago Qualifications Improving operational efficiency Team development Bachelor's degree Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description A Snapshot of Your Day As the Head of Logistics, you will oversee and optimize logistics operations for a manufacturing site with multiple warehouses and a shipping/receiving hub. Your day will involve managing a team responsible for receiving, shipping, and warehousing activities across multiple sites. You'll ensure inventory control processes are followed and enable seamless delivery of materials to the manufacturing floor. In addition, you'll contribute to the strategic vision by creating and executing plans to enhance logistics operations and support organizational growth. How You'll Make an Impact Lead and manage the logistics team across multiple sites, ensuring efficient operations in receiving, shipping, and warehousing. Develop and implement inventory control processes to maintain accuracy and support production needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to the manufacturing floor. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics operations and align with the company's strategic objectives. Utilize SAP or other ERP systems to manage and monitor inventory and logistics processes effectively. Foster a culture of leadership, accountability, and communication within the logistics team. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Business, or related discipline). 10-15+ years of extensive experience in logistics operations within a manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team. Deep knowledge and experience with SAP or other ERP systems for inventory and logistics management. Proven track record of driving operational excellence and strategic improvements in logistics.
