In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of medium-duty diesel trucks and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance. Your expertise will help keep our fleet running smoothly and efficiently, supporting our commitment to reliable transportation and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including trucks, farm equipment, industrial machinery, and more. Certification in the following aPLUS:
Isuzu or Hino Certification Allison Transmission Certification Volvo / Mack Training Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, and electrical systems using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on medium-duty trucks, including brake repair, alignment, shocks & struts replacement, tire service, and HVAC systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and fabrication skills to execute repairs and modifications accurately. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently during repair or assembly tasks. Interpret technical schematics and manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues across various equipment types. Perform vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and preventive inspections to ensure safety standards are met. Assist with assembly or disassembly of components for equipment repair or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Proven experience working in a dealership environment or heavy-duty vehicle service setting with a strong mechanical background. Extensive knowledge of diesel engine repair along with automotive diagnostics skills. Familiarity with fabrication techniques involving welding, soldering, and metalworking. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and industrial equipment safely. Proficiency reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems. Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures including brake systems, air brakes, suspension alignment, shocks & struts replacement. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, power lifts, and other service equipment for repairs or assembly tasks. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Capable of heavy lifting safely while performing repairs or installations in various work environments.
