Job Description:
North Middlesex Regional High School is seeking a Head Varsity Golf Coach to lead its high school golf program. The ideal candidate is a passionate educator and coach who values education-based athletics and is committed to fostering both the athletic and personal development of student-athletes. This position requires strong leadership, communication skills, and a focus on teaching golf fundamentals, strategy, etiquette, and sportsmanship in a positive and inclusive environment. The Head Coach is responsible for managing all aspects of the program, including practices, competitions, player development, and program administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Instruction:
Plan and lead regular practices focused on skill development, course strategy, rules, and etiquette. Instruct student-athletes of varying skill levels and ensure continual development in a supportive environment. Organize team lineups and guide student-athletes during matches.
Culture & Character Development:
Promote integrity, honesty, and sportsmanship both on and off the course. Foster a team culture that emphasizes respect, inclusivity, responsibility, and personal accountability.
Academic & Personal Growth Support:
Encourage academic excellence and help student-athletes manage school and sports commitments. Serve as a positive role model and mentor for student-athletes.
Team Administration:
Coordinate match schedules, transportation, and communication with the athletic department. Maintain equipment and monitor athlete eligibility.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all practices and matches follow proper safety protocols and
MIAA/NFHS
rules. Maintain all required coaching certifications: NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching NFHS Concussion in Sports First Aid & CPR Certification MIAA Coaches Education Program

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Experience coaching golf or playing at the competitive level. Understanding of golf rules, strategies, and course etiquette. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Must meet all MIAA and NFHS coaching certification requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous high school coaching experience. Experience working with student-athletes in an educational setting. Ability to motivate and develop players across a range of skill levels.
Salary:
Per NMRSD Teacher Contract.
