Head Womens Lacrosse Coach-Non-NCAA (WCLA)

Drury University's Women's Lacrosse program competes as a Non-NCAA sport in the highly competitive Women's Collegiate Lacrosse Associates or WCLA. Responsible for teaching, coaching, recruiting, advising and mentoring student-athletes on the women's lacrosse team; administer all aspects of the sport in accordance with USA Lacrosse-WCLA and university rules and regulations. The primary responsibility of the position is recruiting and retention of student-athletes, teaching effectively in practice and competition, and providing a positive student-athlete experience

Additional Duties/Responsibilities:

• Understanding of, and commitment to the fundamental role that intercollegiate athletics can play in the educational development of Drury student-athletes.
• Possession of a thorough knowledge of the sport, understanding of coaching strategies, and an ability to enhance athlete development.
• Leadership skills and the ability to manage team dynamics.
• Budget management experience.
• Ability to recruit qualified student-athletes to an academically competitive institution.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Fundraising-Collaborate with athletics department and advancement staff for fundraising events and promotional activities.
