Job Description
Overview Join YesCare:
A Career with Purpose in Correctional Healthcare. YesCare is seeking a skilled Health Services Administrator (HSA) to oversee the healthcare delivery system in a correctional setting, ensuring high-quality medical services, regulatory compliance, and effective management of resources. The HSA will be responsible for leading a team, managing budgets, and coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal healthcare delivery and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:
Manage the healthcare delivery system, coordinating with other functions within the institution to ensure seamless service. Oversee the site's budget and financial performance, submitting accurate reports to leadership. Develop, implement, and supervise operational plans to align with YesCare's standards and objectives. Supervise staffing, ensuring the site is staffed in accordance with contractual requirements and schedules are properly managed. Lead recruitment efforts, interviewing and selecting staff and independent contractors as needed. Facilitate orientation and ongoing training programs for all new hires and existing personnel. Ensure full utilization of YesCare and client systems, maintaining compliance with operational guidelines. Coordinate and lead the Medical Audit Committee, including monthly meetings to ensure quality care. Manage accreditation processes (e.g., PREA, ACA, NCCHC) and ensure site compliance with all standards. Work closely with Hospital Administrators and external healthcare providers to deliver services outside the institution. Uphold safety and security policies, ensuring the facility operates in accordance with regulations. Conduct annual performance evaluations, including peer reviews, for all personnel. Oversee Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and ensure timely and accurate submission. Counsel and discipline staff as needed for policy violations. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in planning, directing, and managing the facility's operations. Attend regional and corporate meetings as required, representing the healthcare administration team. Lead the annual Health Services planning process, setting goals and ensuring objectives are met. Accept on-call responsibilities for urgent matters. Ensure confidentiality in all aspects of healthcare management, in compliance with regulations. Perform other duties as assigned by management.Key Qualifications:
License Required:
Active FL RN licenseEducation:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field. Alternatively, a Licensed or Registered Nurse can be considered in lieu of a degree.Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of healthcare management experience. Correctional healthcare experience is preferred.Certifications:
Current CPR certification required.Clearance Requirements:
Must be able to pass a background check, security clearance, and drug screening.Travel:
Occasional travel may be required.
