Required Education and Experience  Master degree in Acupuncture or similar teaching specialty (Ph.D. preferred);  Five years of teaching and leadership experience and/or educational administration in the classroom (preferred). Additional Eligibility Requirements  Maintain a valid driver's license to drive any vehicle, including personally owned vehicles, on behalf of the University Clinic;  Maintain a current Acupuncturist license in the state of Texas  Background check is required for this position;  Professional and personal references may be requested. Essential Responsibilities Teach the course(s) assigned; Prepare and submit a Course Syllabus in the format prescribed by the University(attached), emailed directly to the Academic Dean, at least three (3) calendar weeksprior to the start of the course; Advise and counsel students about the course upon request, and perform individualstudent assessment of the achievement of one or more of the educational objectivesbelow at Mid-term and Final Examination times; Maintain class attendance report of each class session and submit attendance sheetsone week prior to mid-term examination, and a final grade report to the Registrar; Inform the Academic Dean regarding student issues, problems, or any matters, whichseem in your professional judgment to require assistance or referral; and Perform other duties as assigned by the administration and President. Maintain compliance with university procedures and recommend changes; Support efforts to enhance the University's image, profile, and reputation in thecommunity; Maintain regular office hours for student and faculty conferences and monitor the officehours of the academic program directors. Pay Rate $32.00 clinic $52.00-$54.00 didactic As a professional licensed to practice acupuncture in the State of Texas, you are also eligible to share in the revenue generated by treatments performed in the university's professional clinic. Revenue sharing shall be according to the following schedule: Acupuncture treatment (60% of gross revenue) Herbal Formulae (10% of gross revenue) Insurance Reimbursements (60% of reimbursements)
