Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dependable licensed acupuncturist to join our growing team on a contract basis. As an integral part of our practice, you will provide acupuncture treatments, herbal remedies, cupping, and gua sha to support our clients' health and wellness goals. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships with patients, providing individualized treatments, and working in a collaborative clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans Provide acupuncture treatments using Traditional Chinese Medicine principles combined with evidence-informed clinical practice Perform adjunctive therapies including cupping, gua sha, electrical stimulation, and heat therapy as appropriate Prescribe and manage Chinese herbal medicine when indicated (preferred) Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records Educate patients on treatment plans, lifestyle modifications, and wellness strategies Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming patient experience Collaborate with other providers and clinic staff to ensure excellent continuity of care Maintain treatment rooms and follow all clinic policies and professional standards Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Participate in community acupuncture sessions and group events when applicable. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for all clients. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within our multi-disciplinary team. Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
Requirements:
Valid license to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine in California. Minimum 2 year of experience in clinical practice Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work evenings and weekends Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Flexible, patient, and able to adapt to diverse personalities and situations. Strong work ethic with attention to detail Currently credentialed with one or more major insurance networks (ASH, American Specialty Health, Optum, Blue Shield, Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, or other major PPO/HMO plans)
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification from a nationally recognized acupuncture and herbal medicine program. (NCCAOM/NCBAHM) Experience in a high-volume clinical setting. Proficiency in additional complementary therapies. Experience treating senior conditions Experience with fertility, women's health, or prenatal care Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development. Familiarity with EMR systems Bilingual (Spanish or Korean)
