Summary of Job Duties:
The anesthesia Technician is a non-professional who, under the supervision of the Lead Anesthesia Tech, is responsible for certain aspects of patient care in the operating room. The Anesthesia Technician practices within the limits of hospital policies and procedures, and adheres to department and unit standards and understands the legal consequences of/and is accountable for his/her interventions.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
HS/GED plus one (1) year patient care experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills, Ability to accept and follow written and verbal instructions, Ability to communicate following Guest Care guidelines.

Responsibilities:
Cleans anesthesia machines, ventilators, and other equipment Performs chemical analysis of blood for blood sugar and electrolytes Stocks anesthesia workroom Calculates, charts, and interprets results of blood analysis Assists in the orientation of new personnel May perform other duties, as assigned
