Job Summary Under the direction of the Operating Room Charge Nurse performs those tasks directly related to preparing and maintaining anesthesia supplies and the equipment for surgical cases. Assists Anesthesiologist with patient care during procedures. Essential Functions The essential functions listed below are general examples and not a description of comprehensive duties. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. At the start of shift, responsible for reviewing the daily maintenance of anesthesia supplies and equipment to ensure proper working condition Support Anesthesiologists when requested in Cath Lab, Labor & Delivery, and ER. Ensure anesthesia supplies and equipment are available and in working order in labor and delivery. Evening Tech will support evening crew as well as restock anesthesia carts and prepare OR suites for next day. Responsible for setting up, cleaning and turnover of anesthesia machines and cart to prepare for next procedure. Also responsible for recordkeeping in relation to work completed. Works with Materials Manager and medical supply to insure ordering of all anesthesia supplies and equipment. Employee must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the
