Job Summary and Qualifications Position Summary :
This position supports the mission of HCA HealthONE Aurora of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The Anesthesia Technician demonstrates technical skills to assist the anesthesia provider (anesthesiologist) with equipment, medications, and supplies utilized in the course of the anesthesia provider's practice . Responsibilities will include application of JACHO and OSHA standards with regard to cleaning, safety and equipment maintenan ce . The Anesthesia Technician performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care at TMCA . The Anesthesia Technician displays positive support for the values and mission of TMCA . When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Position Requirements:
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
BLS Certification through the
American Heart Association or American Red Cross Education :
Graduate of an Anesthesia Technician program preferred.
Experience :
1 years experience as a Anesthesia Technician preferred.
Special Qualifications:
Knowledge of anesthesia equipment and components . Excellent effective communication skills both verbally and in writing . Skills to organize and maintain supplies and equipment. Degree of supervision required : Under supervision of Director of Patent Care/Surgical Services.
