Job Summary and Qualifications We are currently seeking a dedicated Anesthesia Technician to join our fast-paced Surgical Services team on a full-time/part-time/PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will prepare anesthesia instruments, equipment, supplies, and drugs for use throughout the Surgical Services area. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Set up lines and equipment for surgical procedures Troubleshoot anesthesia machinery Assist with insertion of lines, intubation and pain blocks Stock anesthesia carts, assist with inventory control of supplies and pharmaceuticals Gather data for Quality Improvement Support nursing staff as needed Assist with decontamination and cleaning processes Qualifications High school diploma or GED Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Six (6) months to one (1) year of experience as an Anesthesia Technician preferred Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians preferred Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills required Able to work in a fast-paced environment Able to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching and lifting of 25 lbs.
