An Art Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving art, crafts, and similar activities. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Lotus Collaborative:
Thank you for your interest in our job post. The Lotus Collaborative (Lotus) provides holistic eating disorder recovery and behavioral health services, specializing in the treatment of trauma, mood, depression, anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, orthorexia and disordered eating. With location in Santa Cruz, CA, and San Francisco, CA. Lotus offers in-person and virtual programming at higher levels for care, including a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and outpatient nutrition and counseling services.

Qualifications:
The Lotus Collaborative is looking for a primary therapist to join their team in beautiful Santa Cruz, CA. Interested candidates must be a currently registered Associate. (ACSW, AMFT, APCC)
Experience:
Eating Disorder experience preferred. Clinical experience in higher levels of care such as inpatient, residential, PHP or IOP, is desired. This position is hourly, 4 days a week, 30-32hrs, and will include a regularly scheduled weekend and evening shifts.
Job description:
Job responsibilities include the provision of individual therapy, group therapy facilitation, family therapy, therapeutic meal support, experiential outing support, and coordination of care with other members of the client's referring treatment team. Other job components include clinical assessments, insurance pre-certifications and ongoing utilization management, discharge, and aftercare planning, and ongoing participation within a multi-disciplinary treatment team. The primary therapist must be skilled at intensive case management, detailed and timely documentation, including treatment planning in accordance with company and managed care guidelines. They must have the ability to establish rapport and be willing to engage with clients authentically. The ideal applicant has the capacity to function well within a team in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and bring creativity, compassion, and a sincere dedication to treating this population.
