An Art Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving art, crafts, and similar activities. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Join our team at Shore Staffing as a Art Therapist in a dynamic school setting in Frederick MD We are seeking a compassionate and creative professional who is ready to help students grow, express themselves, and thrive through the power of Art therapy.

Follows School Bell Hours (18 HRS per Week)

School Year Responsibilities:
Provide art therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs and 504 plans. Collaborate with educators, school counselors, and special education teams. Use art-based interventions to support emotional regulation, communication, social skills, self-expression, and academic achievement. Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy notes.
Qualifications:
