9631160-21701 Job Description Make a meaningful impact as an itinerant Art Therapist supporting students in a dynamic school environment near Frederick, MD. This contract opportunity is ideal for passionate professionals who blend creativity and therapeutic insight, ready to make a difference in young lives across multiple locations. This role spans 20 hours per week within standard school hours (8am4pm), providing essential art therapy services to a manageable caseload of 15 students. Beginning as soon as possible and extending through June 4th, youll help students develop emotional resilience and personal expression through the therapeutic use of art.

What were seeking:

Current, valid licensure in Art Therapy for the state of Maryland Experience working in school settings strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to tailor therapeutic interventions to diverse student needs Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills Flexibility to travel between school sites as an itinerant professional Compassionate, collaborative approach within multidisciplinary teams Your responsibilities will include: Delivering individualized and group art therapy sessions to students on your caseload Maintaining thorough, confidential documentation in line with school and legal standards Working closely with educators, families, and other related service providers to develop student-centered goals Monitoring and reporting progress, adapting approaches as needed Participating in IEP team meetings and supporting broader school mental health initiatives This position offers the stability of a W2 hourly role, with competitive compensation between $43 and $47 per hour.
