Full Job Description SUMMARY:
This is a professional position providing a wide range of services within the scope of the field of training. This position is responsible for providing outpatient therapy, counseling, and other support services to children, youth and adults in the Developmental Disabilities Program. This often includes the coordination of services within families, schools, Department of Health and Human Services, foster care, and other social service agencies. The person in this position may perform assessments and evaluations based on individual consumer needs. This position functions with a great deal of professional independence under the general guidance and supervision of the Developmental Disabilities Program Director.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Conduct in-person comprehensive assessments and evaluations Formulate and coordinate treatment plans Provide individual, play, family, group therapy. Responsible for meeting direct service productivity and documentation standards per agency and program expectations Collaborate with other clinical staff in planning and conducting treatment and activities Participate in conferences and staff meetings May schedule psychiatric evaluations Act as liaison between the child's/adult's family and the staff in the psycho-educational program Enable the family to access and utilize appropriate community resources Act as a liaison with the community and other agencies in working toward therapeutic goals Prepare reports for other agencies, courts, schools, etc. Maintain client records in keeping with professional standards and in a timely manner Participate in in-service planning and programming Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of agency programs Must adhere to agency policies and procedures Adhere to all requirements/standards of the Behavioral Health Telehealth Agreement Other tasks and responsibilities, as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of the theoretical principles and practices relevant to the clinical components of the program and how to apply with client population Ability to receive and utilize constructive recommendations Knowledge of community resources Demonstrate initiative, analytical skills, organization and attention to detail Ability to establish effective clinical and collaborative relationships with a wide range of persons Ability to exercise conflict resolution measures Ability to function in a multi-disciplinary team setting Ability to relate to a diverse population which includes a variety of ages, economic and educational backgrounds Comply with attendance and punctuality policies, as well as all other Development Centers policies and procedures Understand and follow verbal and written instructions Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Work independently Interpret and communicate policies and procedures Demonstrate customer service focus, with the ability to relate and interact with all levels of the agency and vendors
Education and Experience:
Master's Degree in Clinical social work, clinical psychology or related field of study. Current, Active, Limited or Full Licensure from the State fo Michigan in the field of study (LL/LMSW, T/LLP) Minimum of 1 year experience with evaluation treatment, and services delivered to children and their familie

Commensurate with education and experience
